Job Description

The Linux Engineering Manager role focuses on leading an engineering team on building scalable, reliable and secure cloud platforms that allows for an efficient deploy and operate cycle. This Manager is responsible for developing our cloud platform infrastructure that enables a seamless end to end engineering operations environment operating at cloud speeds.

Job Requirements

  • Build and lead a team of infrastructure/cloud engineers
  • Participate in roadmap, architecture, design and development of the infrastructure software for a broad set of components of the engineering operations platform.
  • Help drive the roadmap, design and development of the internal HTBASE deployment platform, accompanying workflows and support for continuous integration as builds progress through stage and production environments.
  • Work closely with development, test, product management and telemetry teams to deliver high quality products and services in a fast paced environment.
  • Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux (RedHat) engineering and product development.
  • Experience designing and developing automation scripts in C/C++ and/or python.
  • Direct professional experience with KVM, VMware and/or Hyper-V.
  • Strong knowledge in web protocols and distributed systems architecture.
